Advanced Timeline 1.0.0
A timeline for organizing animation
Blender 4.5 LTS–5.2 · Windows & macOS
Render farm ready · No add-on required
Advanced Timeline organizes your animations as clips on a timeline. Clips can be grouped into sequences, making it easy to manage several animations together. Move, stretch, repeat, or reverse a sequence, and everything inside it follows.
The key point: after you press the Sync → NLA button, the add-on writes everything into Blender’s own animation system. By default, Auto Sync is enabled, so this happens automatically as you work. The file can then be used even where the add-on is not installed: on a render farm, on a colleague’s machine, or when exporting animation from Blender to another application.
Existing work remains safe. Advanced Timeline only manages the NLA tracks it creates, identified with [SEQ]. Animation created outside the add-on is left untouched.
The add-on ships as a Blender Extension. Blender 4.5 LTS–5.2 is supported.
You can also install it even faster by simply dragging and dropping the ZIP file into the Blender window.
After installation, open the N-panel in the 3D Viewport by pressing N, then select the Advanced Timeline tab.
You need an object that already has animation - even a simple animation with just a few keyframes is enough.
